Strategic Objectives

  • Create value and programming in all areas of our Chapter to maximize member participation.
- Develop a regional outreach plan that increases participation and gatherings for locations outside the Twin Cities.

- Continue to seek ad hoc and/or recurring gatherings for networking, fellowship, and professional development.

- Continue implementing the Heartland Leadership Forum as a means of increasing interest in the Naval Academy community, and,        use it as a medium for extending both tenets of our Chapter’s mission.

  • Engage and educate the community and prospective candidates about the Naval Academy.

- Support BGOs and serve as a better conduit between prospective candidates and BGOs.

- Support the USNA Parent’s Association(s) of our Chapter.

  • Ensure adequate revenue generation to: 1) fund our Chapter’s operating expenses; 2) support grants and donations that are germane to the Naval Academy; and 3) support our strategic objectives.
  • Increase chapter membership and retain our seat on the National Board of Trustees.

 - Leverage national association’s alumni database to identify alumni in the Upper Midwest Area that are not currently Chapter                   members.

- Develop relationships with other Trustees and regional chapter leaders to share knowledge and best practices.

  • Improve our information systems and communication techniques.

- Maximize the use of our website and communication tools for more relevant communication that appeals to a broad range of USNA      alumni.
