Chapter Membership

Graduation was a long time ago. Why become a Member of your local USNA Alumni Association chapter now?

1.     Pay It Forward – Someone went out of their way to help you get into Annapolis. Maybe a teacher or a coach or a congressman. Your membership in the Chapter helps kids in your community learn about and apply to the Academy. Since 2017, the chapter has provided scholarships to over 15 deserving students from Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas to attend USNA Summer Seminar and STEM Camp.

2.     Expand Your Network – Even if you think you’re too busy, renewing your Chapter membership is still a good idea. Civilian employment has one constant: CHANGE. If you happen to experience a sudden job loss, the Chapter is a great way to start a new job search.

3.     Be Part of a Growing Community – From football viewing parties, monthly alumni breakfasts, quarterly happy hours, and the annual Donald W. McCarthy Heartland Leadership Forum, the Upper Midwest Chapter is committed to expanding and strengthening our community of Naval Academy alums and their families in the region.

Your dues and donations go exclusively toward activities in Minnesota, Iowa, and the Dakotas.

How to Become a Lifetime Member

It's really simple. You're either a voting member, or you're not.

To be a voting member you have to be an alumni of the U.S. Naval Academy. Any person who has been sworn in as a Midshipman is an alumni and is eligible to become a Lifetime Member.

Due to our conversion to a 501c(3) non-profit organization this year, the chapter has stopped charging annual dues. Instead, there is a one-time fee of $25 for a Lifetime Membership in the Upper Midwest Chapter, $20 of which is tax deductible!

Effective October 1, 2016, all members in good standing (i.e., dues paid for 2016), were automatically converted to Lifetime Members. If you need to "re-join" the chapter, please click Lifetime Membership below and follow the instructions. Contact the Membership Chair with any questions.

Other Memberships

There are additional memberships that DO NOT REQUIRE A MEMBERSHIP FEE, bur receive many of the same benefits of a Lifetime Membership. Please refer to the By-laws for full details.

Please contact our Membership Chair with any questions. These are voting members.
